Foreign bodies in the esophagus are one of the most common reasons for patients’ administrations in the otolaryngological emergency room. The vast majority of them do not require intervention within the operating room; however, some foreign bodies can be life-threathing due to their shape and location. We present a case of a 76-year-old woman with foreign body in the esophagus – a piece of glass, lodged 11 mm above the aortic arch.
